Meet Our Principal

Principal

Bridget Ladipo

Born in Dallas and raised in Lewisville, Texas, Bridgett Ladipo discovered her passion for education early in life. Inspired by her mother, a retired Dallas ISD educator, she often spent time in classrooms helping set up or observing the teaching environment
-experiences that sparked a lifelong commitment to teaching and learning.

Ladipo earned both her bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and her master's degree in Educational Leadership from Texas Woman's University. Her dedication to leadership development is reflected in her participation in the Dallas ISD Distinguished Assistant Principal Program and School Retool Cohort 5, where she honed her skills in school transformation and equity-focused leadership.

With more than 12 years of experience in education, she began her career as a 7th-grade science teacher at Balch Springs Middle School. In 2015, she joined the pioneering Young Women's STEAM Academy pilot as an 8th-grade Science and Astronomy teacher. Her impact and leadership led to her promotion as Assistant Principal, a role she held for five years, during which she helped guide the campus to an "A" rating. She later served as the Middle School Assistant Principal at Solar Preparatory School for Girls, where she played a role in launching the middle school program and graduating its inaugural 8th-grade class.

Most recently, Ladipo served as Principal of Sudie L. Williams TAG Academy, where she championed whole-child education by implementing initiatives grounded in social-emotional data and executive functioning strategies. She led efforts to promote equity through strategic TAG recruitment and built strong partnerships with families and community stakeholders to support student success.

Now, returning as Principal to a campus where she once taught and served as Assistant Principal is a deeply meaningful, full-circle moment in her career. Ladipo is eager to lead YWSA focused on student growth, teacher excellence, and inclusive collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure every student has an exceptional educational experience.
